<p>(1926-2014) كاتب ومترجم وسياسي مصري اعتقل بسبب نشاطه المعارض للسُّلطة في عهد جمال عبد الناصر أكثر من مرة. كتب زهران تجربة السجن في كتاب "الأوردي.. مذكِّرات سجين"، الذي صدر عن مركز المحروسة للنشر وتناول فيه تجربة الاعتقال في نوڤمبر 1954 حتى يونيو 1956. واعتقل زهران مرَّة أخرى ضمن عدد من الناشطين المصريين الماركسيين، من عام 1959 حتى 1961. لزهران مؤلَّفات عدَّة، أبرزها "في أصول السياسة المصرية"، وترجمات، منها: كتاب "بناء حضارة جديدة" للأميركي ألفن توفلر، و"الإنسان بين المظهر والجوهر" للفيلسوف الألماني أريك فروم، كما ترجم زهران رواية "عناقيد الغضب" التي صَدَرَت عن مركز المحروسة للنشر، والفائزة بجائزة بوليتزر عام 1940، لمؤلِّفها الأميركي چون شتاينبك الذي نال جائزة نوبل للآداب.</p>
