Contemporary Arab Literature for the Leila Miqdadi Al-Qattan Library

This list, a collaboration between kotobli and the Leila Miqdadi Al-Qattan Library, addresses proposals in contemporary Arabic literature, at home and abroad, from across the Arab countries (Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Sudan, Egypt, Algeria and Morocco). The characters of these novels, memoirs and poems clash with the political, cultural and societal reality we live in today and are not afraid to approach the heat of strong emotions such as sadness, anger and anxiety as an act of liberation.
