Dar Al Adab for publishing and distribution was founded in 1956 by Dr. Souheil Idriss. It is one of the oldest publishing houses in the Middle East.The house is a family enterprise, independent of any political party or governmental support. It publishes novels either originally written in Arabic or international ones translated into Arabic. It also houses the prestigious literary magazine "Al-Adab"; a register of all modern writings: plays, poetry, literary critique. It is an open vision of cultural exchange and a weapon against fanaticism and integrism. Al-Adab magazine is totally digitalized and online.
