Flammarion

🇫🇷 France

Establishment date: 1875
Flammarion is a generalist publishing house that explores the fields of literature, humanities, illustrated books and youth. Since its creation in 1875, Flammarion has always made sure to pursue the ambition of its founder, Ernest Flammarion: "To offer the best content to as many people as possible." Very early present in literature and rich in a great diversity of classical and popular authors (Émile Zola, Guy de Maupassant, Colette, Jules Romains, François Mauriac, Alphonse Daudet...), the publisher opened up from the first half of the twentieth century to many fields: history, philosophy, sciences (Albert Einstein, Vladimir Jankélévitch, Fernand Braudel, Georges Duby, Jacques Derrida...), art and illustrated books, or children's books with Father Castor's albums.
